Rita Craps uses art to grasp the world, to understand it and to reconnect with herself, with others, and the world she lives in. By reconnection she hopes to find the beauty, strength, comfort and hope in spite of all evil, pain, disease, poverty, bitterness, war and disasters that humans experience every day as a result of Pandora's great curiosity. Curse or blessing? In or out of the box? Confronting ourselves with our own strengths and weaknesses with the aim of becoming an upgraded better version of ourselves. Materials, techniques and music play a role in linking this confrontation to events and situations using photos, film fragments and other images that are made visible forever, a hard-coded work, a proof, a testimony of a state of mind
